Sugar maple


Sugar Maple - Acer saccharum - (18 diameter) A beautiful 18' diameter Sugar Maple was situated in an area where Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan needed to build a ramp to service one of their buildings. It had to be moved. We were called, agreed to do the job, arrived at 10:30 a.m. and were ready to move the tree by 1:00 p.m. This is mentioned to illustrate that even in tight timing situations it is possible to move a tree rather than destroying it. This tree weighed 17 tons.
